Salini Impregilo is hiring a Global Commodity Manager for its Service Commodity Department

Responsibilities:

The resource, based in Milan, in the Global Supply Chain department, will be responsible - for the commodity type under his/her area of responsibility - for the following activities:

  • Defining the global purchase strategy for the Service Commodity department, while identifying - with the Regional Procurement Manager and the Head of the Vendor Management department - the regional and local strategies to adopt, guaranteeing that they are implemented and correctly managed;
  • Supervising and monitoring Buyer and Senior Buyer activities for one's Unit, when creating the procurement plan, to create greater efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Defining the procurement budget, guaranteeing that planned targets are met as regards the Service Commodity department at a global level;
  • Defining, negotiating and managing framework agreements at Group level for the Service Commodity department at a global level;
  • Supervising and coordinating activities connected to drawing-up and signing contracts/purchase orders, supported by the Legal Department and by the Contract Department, while coordinating with the requesting Departments as regards technical and quality specifications;
  • Analysing reports concerning suppliers' periodic assessments, through continuous improvement plans, supported by the Vendor Management department, aiming at meeting economic, synergy, quality excellence and lead time optimization targets;
  • Supervising the activities carried out by one's Unit supported by the Vendor Management department, as regards identifying new suppliers, the qualification process and the Vendor list's updating;
  • Verifying that the operational procedures defined for one's scope are correctly applied, while updating and amending them if needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering;
  • 8/10 years of experience in a similar role, within multinational contexts;
  • Industrial sector background;
  • Consolidated experience in budget planning and monitoring activities;
  • Fully proficient at technical and strategic negotiation;
  • Consolidated experience in supply-base selection, development and management activities;
  • Contractual expertise (especially in framework agreements);
  • Attested value and cost analysis skills, and market and benchmarking analysis;
  • Fluent English (knowledge of a second language is a plus).
