Job description:

The resource, whose line manager will be the Project Manager, will be responsible for managing the construction site’s technical /economic aspects, in accordance with the contractual, economic and planning specifications and plans, while ensuring the execution of the work.

Specifically, the Site Manager will:

  • assist the Project Manager in managing job orders
  • define and organize all the activities related to the job’s development and construction
  • ensure that the operational plans are prepared and identify any necessary resources, verify that objectives are achieved, fulfil the requirements imposed by the contractual conditions and the technical specifications
  • ensure that the Quality Control Plans, the Environmental Protection Plans and the Operational Safety plans are prepared, where required

 

Job requirements:

  • Excellent German knowledge, both written and spoken
  • 10/15 years of experience in managing construction sites involving large-scale infrastructures (tunnels)
  • Experience in traditional excavation (drilling blasting method) and use of TBM
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent understanding of technical, technological, administrative and organizational aspects of construction sites
  • Good understanding of legislation on Workplace Safety and Environmental Protection.
  • Good understanding of contract management
  • Knowledge of legislation on public procurement
  • Knowledge of the materials procurement process
  • Knowledge of project authorization and approval
  • Understanding of the main software packages
  • Excellent ability to handle emergencies
  • Willingness to relocate to EU and other countries
