The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the warehouses for the orders and storing the procured materials/products until they are used.

In the reception phase, they are responsible for correctly handling the materials/products, and verifying the quantity and quality of the same.

The Warehouse Manager must manage Improvement plans when appropriate/necessary, and operate in line with the directives of the supervising functions.




  • Drawing up the Purchase Requests, together with the relative functions;
  • Checking the Purchase Requests;
  • Forwarding the Purchase Request to the Buyer;
  • Monitoring the progress of the Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders with the relative Buyers;
  • Monitoring the forecasts regarding the delivery of the ordered goods;
  • Chasing critical materials;
  • Providing reports and updates as requested;




  • Checking that the received goods are accompanied by a full, correct set of documents;
  • Informing the Purchasing Manager, Administrative Manager Quality Assurance and Control Managers about the conformity of the received material;
  • Completing and registering the document “inspection/receipt of goods report";
  • Ensuring that the incoming deliveries are promptly and correctly registered;
  • Providing reports and updates as requested;




  • Ensuring that the material is maintained and conserved in good condition and that it is stored in such a way as to be promptly traceable, in places with suitable environmental conditions to ensure it is not deteriorated, damaged or lost;
  • Managing the spaces, lay-outs and internal organization of the warehouse in line with the requirements and the types and volumes of materials present;
  • Verifying the condition of the stored product at appropriate intervals of time, documenting the inspection of the same;
  • Constantly guaranteeing the stock accuracy (that the physical stock corresponds to that registered in the accounting system) of the warehouse, monitoring and correcting any misalignments;
  • Informing the Purchasing Manager, Administrative Manager and the Quality Assurance and Control Managers in case of non-compliance of the stocked product;
  • Guaranteeing that the required material is available in the established periods of time;
  • Continuously communicating with the requesting Operating Units to ensure that the requests are planned as well in advance as required;
  • Monitoring stock levels (value, coverage, expiry dates, etc.) to ensure that there are no excess materials and no excessive No Moving, Slow Moving coverage;
  • Providing reports and updates as requested;




  • Delivering the material to the requesting units;
  • Organising deliveries (packing, preparation of documentation, etc.) for goods to be transferred from the warehouse to other Sites;
  • Ensuring that the delivery operations and the unloading operations performed at the warehouse are promptly and correctly registered;
  • Providing reports and updates as requested.


  • Languages: English (fluent) is compulsory, a good level of Italian and another foreign language are recommended. 
  • Pro-active, independent approach – ability to autonomously implement actions designed to improve or correct the physical structure and process of the warehouse;
  • Ability to communicate and interact correctly with the other functions, both in strictly operational terms and on the level of processes, role, flows in the global Supply Chain system;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Accuracy, approachability, reliability, natural inclination to favour order and the quality of work;
  • Standing, ability to create credibility and earn authority;
  • Effective, incisive communication skills;
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-cultural structures with an adequate number of diverse staff members;
  • Ability/aptitude for constantly training the resources of the structure;
  • Strong numerical analysis skills, knowledge and structured, rational management of the main stock indicators;
  • Adequate knowledge of the dynamics of the entire Supply Chain;
  • Knowledge of the main materials managed and their key characteristics;
  • Knowledge of the key technologies used in the company business area (Hydro, etc.);
  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel, Office tools.
